Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Victory at Shelbourne.

Despite entering their first-ever European adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting very quickly. Missing star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.

Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity

This match provided a platform for several Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in match.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
